NewSong weekend services are crafted primarily by two seperate groups of leadership our Core-Teaching Team & Design Team.
Core-Teaching Team - made up of our two primary teachers... Dennis Bachman and George Haraksin (team chair), who determine the overall thrust of theme and biblical text for each of our weekend services. This team serves as the theological undergirding to all NewSong teaching. They are accountable to our board of elders, church partners and elective sponsorship to the Willow Association.
Design Team - is a larger team of creative personalities who craft a supportive program of events designed to compliment the objectives set-out by the core-teaching team. This group's membership is comprised of individuals from a variety of backgrounds... music, drama, film, photography, design, children's ministry, art, writing and aesthetic beauty. This team is chaired by Daren Bachman, director of celebration arts & communication. All members are loyally devoted to bringing honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is our desire to be pro-active rather than re-active in scheduling out our services ahead. Thus, we generally try to stay a minimum of eight-weeks out in our weekend service planning. Most often, we will have at least a 3-month lead with rough outlines mapping out our goals and objectives for the months ahead. Our core-teaching team are asked to submit firm plans to the design team a minimum of eight-weeks out, so that we are able to mull-over ideas that would most effectively compliment each teaching series. Approximately once a quarter, we pull together an extended group of regular church attenders to expand our creative resources.
Of course, we are open to all of our plans being interrupted should God direct us in a new direction.
