Meet hopeFULL Student Ministries’ Sponsored Child, Magdala. Magdala lives with her parents and one sister. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is an agriculture worker and her mother is an agricultural laborer. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family’s needs.
Magdala and her family live in a community severely affected by the HIV and AIDS crisis. In some communities, AIDS affects the entire social structure as a generation of hardworking adults is affected. Children and grandparents rarely have money for food, school, or medical care. Through sponsorship, we are helping with these and other basic needs for Magdala and her family.
Magdala is not in school at this time. She likes to play with dolls. She helps at home by doing the family chores. She is in satisfactory health.
This sponsorship commitment helps provide Magdala and her community with the assistance they need to save a generation from the HIV and AIDS crisis. World Vision will faithfully use our sponsorship support of Magdala to meet her needs and minimize the impact of AIDS in her community through tangible prevention and care programs. By partnering with us to sponsor Magdala, you are an answer to prayer in her community, helping children and families gain access to basic needs and learn about God’s unconditional love.
