Speaker: Morgan Greer
Scripture: Acts 1:8
Summary: During the Christmas season, George has been taking us through Luke 2 to remind us that the Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament are fulfilled in Jesus. The physician Luke also wrote a follow up work to his Gospel to instruct Theophilus about all that Jesus began to do and teach "until the day he was taken up into heaven." In the opening of that book, which is called The Acts of the Apostles, Luke tells of the Holy Spirit's marching "orders" to the Apostles. Those orders are transferred to the 120 in the Upper Room, and by extension to us here now who call ourselves followers of Jesus.
