Scripture:    Micah 6:8
Summary:    As God’s people, we bring good to the position of those who are impoverished, vulnerable, overlooked, down and out.  However, in doing so, we need to constantly assess our motivations and actual outcomes to ensure our gestures actually better the lives of those we serve rather than bringing harm.  Godly, shrewd charity demands a true posture of love as we consider another’s needs as more important than our own, and as we employ wise, holistic compassion strategies to ensure the recipients of our kindness are not reduced to mere objects of our pity and patronage.  Our charitable giving must be supported by due diligence.
